PARRAMATTA Eels legend Brett Kenny has been appointed head coach of Wentworthville for the 2010 NSW Cup season.
Kenny, who played 265 First Grade games for the Eels and is currently a Director of the Parramatta District Rugby League Club, replaces Rip Taylor in the role.
It marks Kenny's return to the coaching ranks, having led Penrith to the 2006 SG Ball title.
"Brett is a quality addition to our coaching ranks and we think that under his leadership Wentworthville will continue to prosper in the NSW Cup, " Eels chief executive Paul Osborne said.
"In just two NSW Cup seasons our partnership with the Wentworthville Club has gone from strength to strength and we feel that Brett's appointment will only make it stronger again."
Wentworthville have been referred to as the Melbourne Storm of NSWRL competitions so Kenny will have big shoes to fill in 2010.
