Titans veteran Greg Bird has been named at lock in the Laurie Daley’s Indigenous All Stars squad for the Harvey Norman Rugby League All Stars at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on February 13.
Bird is among five members of the 2014 NSW VB Blues squad who will play in the game with Knights and Blues backrower Beau Scott to captain Wayne Bennett’s NRL All Stars squad which includes New South Wales captain Paul Gallen, winger Will Hopoate and front rower Trent Merrin.
In a great pointer for the future of the NSW VB Blues, Panthers fullback Matt Moylan is among seven players who attended the Emerging Blues camp under the guidance of NSW VB Blues coach Laurie Daley at the weekend who will play in the All Stars clash.
“The public have made it easy for me and I can't wait to coach this squad," Daley said of the Indigenous side.
"It is a wonderful squad and there is some incredible talent all the way through it. They will play some exciting football and that is exactly what the All Stars concept is known for.
“I’m really looking forward to bringing this side together and coaching some of the game’s best players and brightest talents.”
