The Aboriginal Knockout Health Challenge continues to kick goals within the Indigenous community, with the Julie Young Challenge officially getting underway at Rugby League Central today.

A statewide health challenge for Aboriginal communities backed by NSW Health, the Knockout Health Challenge fights obesity and improves Indigenous health outcomes.

Julie Young is one of the League legends and ambassadors for this annual event – alongside the likes of George Rose, Kyle Saunders and Ronnie Gibbs – lending their name to the 2015 Aboriginal Knockout Health Challenge.

Today’s meet-and-greet session saw participants in the Julie Young Challenge complete introductions before hearing from guest speaker John Leha and being a part of discussions around success and learnings, as well as being involved in a Koori cook-off run by the Heart Foundation.

Anyone can follow in the footsteps of Aboriginal Knockout Health Challenge participants and join the Get Healthy Service by calling 1300 806 258 or visitingwww.gethealthynsw.com.au to register online.
