Rugby league hit the road and delivered in the biggest way.

A  sell-out crowd packed into McDonald's Park, Wagga Wagga, and were treated to a highlight-laden affair in the annual City-Country origin clash.

With several NSW VB Blues jumpers up for grabs, some of the game’s biggest names took the stage, determined to press their representative claims.

David Klemmer, Josh Jackson and Andrew Fifita joined rugby league’s fastest rising stars such as Jack Bird, Tyson Frizell, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Bryce Cartwright and Ryan James.

However, playmaking sensation Blake Austin stole the show and left those in attendance and watching on television wanting more.

It was an emphatic statement game for Austin and his future representative chances, scoring a breath-taking hat trick and pulling off two special try-saving tackles.

It was another thrilling performance from both the City and Country Origin sides, with fans counting down next season’s fixture in the bush.

There were plenty of Magic Moments across the NSWRL’s myriad competitions and programs in 2015. What’s your favourite? Join in the conversation via Facebook and Twitter.
