A golf day supported by NSW True Blues legends has added a further $28,000 to almost $300,000 already raised by the New South Wales Rugby League Community for Cabramatta’s Kurt Drysdale, who suffered a spinal injury playing the game he loves last year.

Brad Fittler, Greg Alexander, Terry Lamb and Steve Menzies were just some of the Rugby League greats who joined Kurt at Camden Lakeside Golf Club yesterday (Wednesday, 10 February) for the fundraising initiative.

The Golf Day, organised by Leagues Clubs Australia, also featured Australian music icon Shannon Noll, Australian Test cricketer Moisés Henriques and a host of additional Rugby League legends who will join forces to rally behind the 21-year-old.

Since Kurt was injured in June last year, the NSWRL and the Rugby League community have come together and, with significant contributions from Kurt's Cabramatta Club, Wests Ashfield Leagues and Leagues Clubs Australia, almost $330,000 has now been raised to help the Drysdale family.

Another fundraising initiative supported by Leagues Clubs Australia will be held at Tradies Helensburgh (member of Leagues Clubs Australia) on Wed 6 April 6.30 for 7pm. Cost is $150per person, with every cent of the $150 going to Kurt Drysdale. Tables are available $1300 for table of 10 – contact Alan Wilson (Alan@lca.asn.au) for more information.
