The Sydney Metropolitan Women’s Rugby League moved into Round 3, with the Penrith Waratahs team dropping down to Division 2 and leaving Forestville with a Bye this week. In the final round prior to the Jillaroos Test match, some teams were left without their representative players. Nevertheless, Redfern All Blacks and Mounties continued to show strong form at the top of the table. Berkeley Vale also showed they are a force to be reckoned with after a dominant performance over a depleted Hunter Stars side.

In Division 2, the Penrith Waratahs seem to have found a better level of competition. Whilst they came away with another loss, the Waratahs played out a tight game with the undefeated Glenmore Park team. This leaves Berala and Glenmore Park on top of the Division 2 table following Berala’s convincing win over newcomers Maroubra.
