NSW VB Blues enforcer James Tamou is fit for Origin after fearing he had contracted a serious infection called golden staph.

He is out of hospital now after recovering from a boil on his buttock, but there were concerns he could miss the opening Origin clash at ANZ Stadium on 1 June.
