Queensland and Broncos forward Sam Thaiday has been suspended for two matches after he entered an early guilty plea for a grade two dangerous tackle on Paul Gallen during Holden State of Origin Game Two.

Thaiday will miss the next two NRL Telstra Premiership matches for the Broncos against the Bulldogs and Storm, but will be available for Queensland in Game Three of the Origin series at ANZ Stadium on July 13.

The Queensland forward was placed on report for a first-half tackle the NSW captain in the Maroons' series-winning 26-16 defeat of the Blues at Suncorp Stadium.
