NSWRL True Blue, Rugby League legend and cancer survivor Paul Langmack will tackle the 2016 City2Surf to raise money for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
Chris O’Brien Lifehouse strives to deliver the best cancer care, as a not-for-profit, independent comprehensive cancer centre specialising in state of-the-art advanced cancer care, and rare and complex cases – and they recently cared for Langmack who is recovering from cancer in his lymph nodes.
Langmack, a four-time NSW Origin representative and a three-time premiership winner, is keen to support the organisation that supported him during his toughest battle.
“Everyone knows someone touched by cancer – joining me for the 2016 City2Surf or donating money for the cause is a great way to show your support,” Langmack said.
“Walk the course with me, I’ll tell a few yarns, we’ll have a great time and celebrate life – during the race and after it too. It’s all for a great cause, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.”
NSWRL CEO David Trodden said the organisation was proud of Langmack.
“The NSWRL is proud of Paul for contributing to such a great organisation – and for turning a difficult time in his life into a positive,” Trodden said.
“We’re incredibly supportive of his endeavours and encourage the Rugby League public to get behind Paul and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.”
