MOUNTIES

·      Looking to go back-to-back, after winning the competition last season against Asquith Magpies

·      Mounties are in there fourth Grand Final in a row (2013 lost to Wentworthville, 2014 lost to The Entrance Tigers, 2015 beat Asquith)

·      Won the minor premiership

·      Ended the regular season with 16 wins and four losses

·      They have the best attack in the competition, averaging over 34 points a game

·      They have the best defence in the competition, conceding under 18 points a game

·      These sides played each other in Week One of the finals, where St Marys came from behind to win 26-22

·      Since that lost, they smashed Hills District 48-0 in Week Two of the finals, then downed Wentworthville 16-6 in the Preliminary Final

·      They have won eight from their past nine games

 

ST MARYS

·      First year in the competition since 2003, so it’s remarkable for them to have made the Grand Final

·      Former NRL player, Geoff Daniela, will play centre

·      Daniela played 45 games with the Penrith Panthers and the Wests Tigers, and represented Cook Islands on one occasion in 2012, where he scored a try

·      St Marys defeated Mounties in Week One of the finals 26-22, then beat Western Suburbs last week 20-14 to qualify for the Grand Final

·      Have won their last nine matches

·      Went down to Mounties 44-16 in Round 15

·      Finished fourth on the ladder with 14 wins and seven losses in the regular season

·      Average 32 points per game in attack

·      Concede just under 22 points per game in defence
