Manly forward Jake Trbojevic has been added to the Kangaroos squad ahead of the 2016 Four Nations tournament following the withdrawal of Josh Papalii.

Papalii has been ruled out of the tournament due to an ankle problem following consultation between the medical staff of the Kangaroos and Canberra Raiders.

Trbojevic will join the Kangaroos camp in Perth today.

"Jake will give us size and intimidation," Kangaroos Coach Mal Meninga said.

"It is always disappointing to lose a player of Josh's calibre but this will be a wonderful opportunity for Jake and I'm excited to see what he can do in the green and gold jersey."
