The Macquarie Scorpions have claimed the 2017 Challenge Cup courtesy of a 30-18 victory over the Concord-Burwood-Glebe Wolves.

Over-turning an early 12-point deficit, the Scorpions rallied to find an 18-12 front at the sound of the half-time siren.

The pattern of play continued at the change of ends, as the Country representative team scored another two tries to claim the knock-out tournament's silverware.

NOTE: The mid-week NSW Challenge Cup - a revival of the former AMCO Cup - saw NSWRL's Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield sides take on teams from the CRL's strongest divisions. It signifies a unification of the CRL and NSWRL in a single competition
