Supporters attending tonight’s Holden State of Origin II at ANZ Stadium are encouraged to arrive early to take advantage of activities in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct as well as the pre-game entertainment spectacular.

Fans are also encouraged to allow extra time for additional security measures at entry points.

The pre-game festivities kick off outside ANZ Stadium from 4.45pm.

NRL Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Abdo said there were activities for fans of all ages to take advantage of in the precinct and inside ANZ Stadium.

"I would encourage all supporters to get to the venue early and experience the wonderful spectacle that is State of Origin," Mr Abdo said.

The pre-match entertainment, which includes a lights-out spectacular and a performance from Aussie rockers Grinspoon, will commence at 7.30pm.

With all tickets to Origin including return travel on Sydney Trains and Major Event Buses, fans are strongly encouraged to leave the car at home.

Direct trains will run every seven minutes from Central to Olympic Park on Wednesday night, with frequent direct services also from Blacktown, Schofields, Strathfield, Campbelltown, Liverpool, Blue Mountains Line, Gosford and Wyong.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses are running for the game and will begin between 3.15pm and 4.15pm, depending on the route.

A high NSW Police and Security presence will be in place for Holden State of Origin Game II, both inside ANZ Stadium and throughout the Sydney Olympic Park precinct before, during and after the event.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and leave additional time for the security screening process when entering the Stadium. This process will include mandatory bag searches and personal checks.

Only small bags (no larger than 30cm x 40cm) are permitted into ANZ Stadium for events, and all bags will be checked by security. Fans should arrive without bags if possible.

ANZ Stadium CEO Daryl Kerry urged all fans to plan for an early arrival and to take advantage of the fact that all tickets to State of Origin Game II include return travel to Olympic Park.

"Holden State of Origin II promises to be one of the great sporting events of the year and we encourage fans to travel early and take their seats in time to enjoy the pre-game build-up," Mr Kerry said.

"The Stadium is working closely with NSW Police on safety and security and fans should be aware that additional time is required for the security screening process when accessing the Stadium."

Fans are encouraged to report any unusual or suspicious behaviour or unattended items to Customer Service staff, Police or Security.

The Sydney Olympic Park precinct activities, including the VB Shed, Members Bar, POWERADE Powerscore, Holden Game Face and merchandise outlets, will commence at 4.45pm.

NSW Blatchys Blues fans can also register to be a part of the Grinspoon mosh pit on the night. Registrations will be taken from 6.45pm-7.15pm at the Grinspoon mosh pit marquee, located at Light Tower 2.

Limited tickets remain for the match. Tickets are available at nrl.com/tickets.
