Tributes Flow In For Retired Morris

After 15 strong games for the NSW VB Blues, Brett Morris has called time on his Origin career - and as tributes flow in, it's clear how much Brett Morris meant to teammates and fans alike.

While the finale of the 2017 Holden State of Origin series was dominated by talk of Johnathan Thurston's representative retirement - followed by the questions surrounding Queensland teammate Cooper Cronk's future - Morris was typically modest when he took to Instagram to announce it was his time, too, to step down.

You only need to look at the praise Morris received immediately after the announcement to understand the value he has consistently brought to any side he has played in: the Kangaroos (18 games), Dragons (169 games) and Bulldogs (40 games and counting). Current and former teammates, big-name fans and journalists were quick to congratulate Morris on an outstanding representative career.
