Three appearances in the NSW Origin side this season took Mitchell Pearce’s personal tally to 18 outings in the sky blue of his state.

Headline Moment: “Pearce Marks Origin Return In Style”

Mitchell Pearce’s finest hour in a Blues jersey, is one perhaps, he does not remember.

Announcing his return to the Origin arena, the half crossed for a try and was influential in seeing NSW to a victory in Game One – all before feeling the full brunt of a head knock.

Forced from the field under the concussion rule, Pearce was joined by father Wayne in the dressing sheds, enjoying the NSW side’s dominance.

Pearce then returned to the sideline to share in the Game One celebrations alongside his Blues teammates, all before crossing for another try in similar style in Origin II.

His Future

In the short-term, Pearce returns to club side the Roosters in the hopes of guiding the team to an NRL premiership.

On occasions this season, Pearce has commanded the ball when his side has needed him to stand up most – and you can expect much of the same from the half at the business end of the season.
