The rapid growth of the women's game and the ongoing contribution of our women in league at all levels of the game, contains many great stories like Tarsha Gale.
Tarsha was the first captain of NSW, and is considered a leading pioneer in the women's game.
As a lanky six-year-old with a ponytail, Kezie Apps lined up with the boys to play for the Bega Roosters, marking the beginning of a great Rugby League story and a wonderful love affair with the game.
It was a story that would see her drive more than 120,000km during weekly trips from her Bega farm to Sydney to realise her dream of playing Rugby League as an adult and ultimately earn the highest honours, playing for NSW and the world champion Jillaroos.
This is HER story.
