About the Program

NSWRL are endeavouring to acknowledge and reward our amazing grass roots Clubs and Volunteers with a range of awards across all different facets of the game.

From awards for Coaches to awards for Clubs and grounds, you have the opportunity to nominate both individuals and Clubs for recognition of their hard work and commendable commitment to the game.

NSWRL DISTRICT VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

A NSWRL Junior League District Volunteer of the Year Award nominee will have provided excellent service to the game of Rugby League and will have made a measurable contribution to their community.  The nominee should demonstrate inclusivity, positivity, discipline and respect through their participation in their community through Rugby League.

One award will be presented in each Junior Rugby League District.

Nominees should be volunteers and should not have received an honorarium of more than $2000 for their service to Rugby League in the past season.

Incomplete nominations will not be accepted.

Award Details

The winner in each District will receive:

  • 2x tickets to the NSWRL Brad Fittler Medal awards night at The Star
  • An engraved glass plaque to acknowledge their contribution to the game

NOMINATE NOW

NSWRL COACH OF THE YEAR (MALE AND FEMALE)

The NSWRL Coach of the Year Award will be presented to an outstanding Male coach and an outstanding Female coach from a Junior League Club (two awards presented).

The awards will recognise and over and above contribution from a Junior League Coach to their team.  The winning coach must be registered, appropriately accredited, assigned to their team and will have had no Code of Conduct issues in the past two years.

Incomplete nominations will not be accepted.

Award Details

Both winners (one male and one female) will receive:

  • 4x tickets to State of Origin (Sydney)
  • 1x NSW Blues State of Origin jersey
  • 1x NSW Blues supporters pack
  • Frame certificate of appreciation

NSWRL INDIGENOUS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

The NSWRL Indigenous Volunteer of the Year Award recognises a valuable contribution that a volunteer has made to Indigenous Rugby League.

The NSWRL Women in League Award recognises the outstanding contribution that a female volunteer has made to the game of Rugby League.

NSWRL INCLUSIVE VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

The NSWRL Inclusive Volunteer of the Year Award recognises the valuable contribution that volunteers make to the game of Rugby League through Wheelchair Rugby League, Physical Disability Rugby League and Intellectual Disability Rugby League.

The NSWRL Blue Harmony Award recognises the valuable contribution that volunteers make to the game in the Blue Harmony categories of Cultural, Disability and LGBTIQ communities.

NSWRL GRASSROOTS CLUB OF THE YEAR AWARD

The NSWRL Grassroots Club of the Year will be awarded to a Junior Rugby League Club that has fostered participation and enjoyment for participants at all levels, has become an integral part of their community and has shown innovation in administration.

  • An engraved glass plaque to acknowledge their contribution to the game

NSWRL #RESPECT 'AROUND THE GROUNDS' AWARD

The NSWRL would like to acknowledge Junior League Clubs that provide a safe and enjoyable game day experience for both their teams and teams visiting their venue. 

Game day spectators at Junior League games are encouraged to nominate a Club that they visit for the environment that they create for their members and visitors. 

There will be two period of nomination and two Junior League Clubs acknowledged for their hard work and commitment to providing a great experience for everyone that attends their grounds.
