NSWRL Club Health Check

NSWRL Club Health Check

The NSWRL is pleased to announce a new Club Health Check program that aims to lift the governance standards of our Community Rugby League Clubs across the state.

The Club Health Check is based on a revised format of the NSWRL Blue Shield Accreditation program that has been underway for the past four years.

The program will see League and Club Support Coordinators work with their local Clubs to help them ensure that they are meeting minimum requirements for Governance and Administration.  It will then give NSWRL staff the ability to work with Clubs to develop plans to assist in ensuring compliance with the basic governance requirements, and also maintain consistent application of NSWRL Policies and Procedures.

The online survey is designed to be extremely user-friendly for Clubs, however, if you have any issues with the completion or access to the online survey, you can contact your local NSWRL League and Club Support Coordinator who can assist you with the process.

Clubs should note that this process is designed to allow us to find ways to assist you better, it is not a compliance audit of your Club.  This is an opportunity for NSWRL to work with you individually to develop a consistent Community Rugby League environment for our participants and volunteers.

What you will need:

  • Access to the following documents to upload to the survey – your Clubs Constitution, your Clubs latest Annual Report (including your Annual Financial Report), your Clubs Liquor License (if you sell alcohol)
  • Knowledge of your Clubs Committee and the people that hold positions
  • Details of your Clubs financial information (taken from your Clubs Annual Financial Report)
  • Participation details (number of teams you have competing in the current season)
  • Links to your Clubs website and social media pages
  • Images of your Clubs playing uniform
  • Details about your Clubs facilities

Once you are ready, and have everything you need to be prepared, follow the link here to start the process for your Club.
