The next generation of the NSW VB Blues have been given a taste of what to expect as Origin players at the Emerging Blues camp held at The Star in Sydney this weekend.

A total of 22 of the state’s most promising young stars attended the day-long camp, hearing about life as a member of the VB Blues from the likes of current NSW stars including captain Paul Gallen and experienced back-rower Greg Bird.

Among the attendees were premiership winners and Australian representatives, including the likes of Sione Mata’utia, Josh Mansour, Dylan Walker, Adam Reynolds, Luke Keary and Kyle Turner.

Coach of the NSW VB Blues, Laurie Daley, said the camp provided the participating young stars with a great opportunity to further themselves as players and as people.

“They’ve never played Origin before and it’s a great step up for them to come into our camp to see what New South Wales is all about,” Daley said.

“All the boys involved are so promising and the hope is the camp will give them the motivation and insight to continue their development and hopefully, one day, represent their state and continue to help our side improve.”
