It was a mixed-emotion filled 4-all draw between NSW and Queensland in the Women’s State of Origin at Townsville in June earlier this year.

While NSW can proudly hold their heads high after ending Queensland’s 16-year win streak, it was a bitterly disappointing result with their arch-rvials retaining the Shield for the 17th consecutive year.

Fighting back to deadlock the scores, NSW were cruelly afforded the opportunity of a historic victory as a late grubber kick wickedly bounced out of Shani Sleeman’s grasp over the tryline.

But it’s only a matter of time when the Shield returns south of the border behind inspirational leader Ruan Sims and young superstar Isabelle Kelly.
