The Canterbury Cup NSW competition is rapidly approaching and True Blue and Channel Nine commentator Jamie Soward have cast his eye over all 12 teams for nswrl.com.au to find the winner for 2019.

Jamie Soward believes the South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL squad has enough talent to filter down to the Canterbury Cup NSW competition to guide the foundation club to third place in 2019.

He went further by saying they have what it takes to claim a potential Minor Premiership at season’s end.

“I like the depth of this NRL squad and being able to push some of these young guys, especially Corey Allan into the (Canterbury Cup NSW) squad in 2019,” Soward told NSWRL.com.au.

Soward described the Rabbitohs as a side that will be “brimming with talent across the park,” with the likes of Connor Tracey, who he believes will be key in their success this year.

“(He has) lightning speed and is a very classy player.”
