Presidents Cup clash with NRL talent to be live streamed

Former NRL players Brock Lamb and Jayson Bukuya will go head-to-head in an exciting Presidents Cup match which will be live streamed on the NSWRL Facebook page this Saturday.

Lamb’s Maitland Pickers are playing Bukuya’s Dubbo CYMS team this Saturday, 3.30pm at Maitland No.1 Sportsground in the second round of the 2020 Presidents Cup, a unique competition which incorporates both regional and metropolitan areas of NSW.

Fans will be able to tune into the match via the official NSWRL Facebook page with the live stream to begin 10 minutes prior to the scheduled 3.30pm kick-off.

Lamb, 23, showed his 39-game NRL experience when he starred in the Pickers’ 32-24 victory over the Wentworthville Magpies after scoring a try and kicking three goals against an outfit that included former NRL players Ethan Parry and Omar Slaimankhel.

He was offered a Parramatta Eels NRL contract at the start of the year but decided to play with his mates in Maitland and get into the ‘real world’ in lieu of the professional Rugby League lifestyle.

Bukuya, meanwhile, played the entire game in the second row but his team could not secure the win against the North Sydney Bears despite this gallant effort.

He is a 109-game veteran with the Cronulla Sharks and New Zealand Warriors and has also played 11 Test matches for Fiji. Bukuya’s experience is a welcome addition to the Dubbo team and also the Presidents Cup as a whole.

Each game is incredibly important given the regular season only goes for seven weeks and fans should not miss the opportunity to see two players who played in the 2019 NRL competition feature.
