Kotoni Staggs lifted his Bronco teammates with a passionate performance against the Sharks in both attack and Defence – something he wants to repeat every week.

Staggs marked Indigenous Round with a series of inspirational defensive players and two more tries to take his season tally to seven from six games.

“I bring everything I can every week but that (Indigenous) Round was just really important to me and my family,” said Staggs.

“I want to bring that passion every week that I play, that’s what I always try to do and always be there for the team.”

The centre, who is back to his best after missing a month with a hamstring injury, said the Broncos were also looking forward to the return of backrower David Fifita against the Rabbitohs on Friday night.

“We all know what Davey can do … he just goes out there and he’s got a lot of aggression about him, he’s a gun player who is going to help lift the team up this week,” said Staggs.

“We had our opportunities and our chances against the Sharks and we could have sealed the game but we just have to play for that 80 minutes, and we’ve spoken a lot about that.”
