The Cronulla Sharks and Townsville Stingers clash in this year's under-16s National Junior Championship Final at Belmore Sports Ground after claiming their state's respective titles last weekend.

Coverage starts LIVE from 10:55am here, featuring commentary from Peter Jolly, assisted by Terry Liberopoulos and a range of rugby league identities from QRL and NSWRL.

Cronulla will be supported by Immortals and legends when they look for success in both the under-16s and 18s age groups against the Townsville Stingers.

“It’s an incredible effort from both Cronulla and Townsville to have teams in both national finals,” NRL Head of Football Todd Greenberg said.

“The national finals concept is now into its fourth year and has been a great success so far. This Saturday’s games will highlight another example of the game’s junior talent and the success of our pathways systems.”

The Cronulla squads will include Monty Raper, the great nephew of Immortal John as well as the grandson of Sharks legend Monty Porter, and Jack Williams, the grandson of the late Immortal Reg Gasnier.

Joining them will be Kyle Flanagan, the son of current NRL Head Coach Shane Flanagan, Jack Gould, the son of Phil Gould, Trace Davidson, the son of Les Davidson, Rhys Ward, the son of Colin Ward, and William Kennedy, the son of William ‘Bubba’ Kennedy.
