Five Blues named In Australian Team
After speculation that he would not be picked, VB Blues inspirational leader, Paul Gallen, was picked at prop in the full Australian Kangaroos Squad to play New Zealand on 6 May in Newcastle. Josh Dugan, Blake Ferguson, James Tamou and Michael Jennings have also been named in the squad.

The Star’s Best In Blue voting is underway, with one of four NSW Origin eras to be voted on by the public as the greatest ever. VB Blues skipper, Paul Gallen, put in a barnstorming performance over the Panthers on the weekend, enough to make him the captain of the VB Blues Team Of The Week. His numbers were nothing short of amazing, amassing 246 running metres from 24 runs and making 43 tackles.

Channel 9 To Broadcast Residents Match
Channel 9 will broadcast this year’s Intrust Super Premiership NSW Residents team in action as they take on the Queensland Residents on Sunday 8 May at Langlands Park. The match kicks off at 1:40pm, and it will determine the superior second-tier competition in Australia.

Country Round
Regional areas around NSW will welcome Intrust Super Premiership NSW teams this weekend in the NSWRL’s annual Country Round. Bathurst, Moss Vale, Cessnock, Woy Woy and Nowra are the areas that will get a taste of second-tier football in Round 9. 

Drinkwater Makes Team Of The Week
Wests Tigers boom halfback Josh Drinkwater, put in a sublime performance last weekend against the Wentworthville Magpies, having a hand in six of his side’s seven tries, and earning a place in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW Team Of The Week. He also declared after the match that he is ready to play NRL consistently and has put his hand up for selection.
