The Western Suburbs Magpies will host two matches at Lidcombe Oval today, a special occasion at a ground etched into their club history.
The Magpies moved to Lidcombe Oval in 1967, and played there for 20 years before re-locating to Campbelltown Stadium in 1987.
At 1pm, the Magpies will host Belrose in the Sydney Shield, followed by playing Concord-Burwood at 3pm in the Ron Massey Cup.
There has not been a first grade match played at Lidcombe Oval in 30 years, and many special guests will attend the day, including Roy Masters, John Dorahy, Terry Lamb, Noel Kelly, and many more.
It is $5 entry to attend the historic day.
