Day by day, we take an in-depth look at every member of the 2016 Intrust Super Premiership NSW Team Of The Year. Today we look at another centre: Levi Dodd.

It was a star-studded Illawarra backline that helped them take out the 2016 Intrust Super Premiership, as well as the NRL Intrust Super State Championship - but centre Levi Dodd stood out to make the competition's best 17.

Given intermittent chances with the St George Illawarra Dragons this season on his return to the code, the former Bulldog was a highlight for the Cutters in their charge to their first title.

Dodd’s explosive speed in the Cutters’ backline saw him post 16 tries for the season, while his tally of 116 tackle-breaks was the largest in the competition. Translating to the second-most line-breaks throughout the year, Dodd was a major part of Illawarra's success and his third-minute try to open the scoring in the grand final would prove vital in the one-point victory. He should expect to play more NRL for the Dragons next year.
