Josh Jackson played all but five minutes of the 2016 State of Origin series, which is a remarkable effort for a workhorse in the back row.

His efforts did not go un-noticed by his teammates, having being awarded the players player in Game II at Suncorp Stadium, and then the Brad Fittler medal for being the best NSW VB Blues player of the series.

At 25-years-old and having originated in Mudgee, Jackson is one of the best young players in the competition, and is certainly in the leadership mix within the VB Blues camp.

He only debuted in the Origin arena last year, but Jackson has made that right-edge his own in his six games for the VB Blues, and he is a player that Queensland will want to be quick to shut down given he runs so hard and is always looking for an offload.
