Each week of the NRL season, the NSWRL.com.au staff writers will have their say on the round's best performing New South Welshmen. These are based entirely on the opinions of the writers and do not necessarily reflect the views of the NSWRL or the State of Origin selection process.

1 - Jack Wighton
Club: Canberra Raiders; Origin appearances: 0; 2017 TOTW selections: 1.

16 total runs, 177 total metres, one line-break, three tackle-breaks, one try.
A week after Ricky Stuart declared that his Raiders were unlikely to blow teams off the park in 2017, they did just that - and Jack Wighton was in the centre of it. While Kiwi Jordan Rapana stole the show at CBUS Super Stadium, Wighton was impressive to secure a second consecutive Team of the Week selection, scoring a try in the victory.

2 - David Nofoaluma
Club: Wests Tigers; Origin appearances: 0; 2017 TOTW selections: 1.

21 total runs, 163 total metres, two line-breaks, one try-assist, two offloads, three tackle-breaks, one try.
He’s had three coaches in four weeks, but that hasn’t halted the form of David Nofoaluma in 2017. He bounced back from the Dragons game terrifically in the Wests Tigers 26-16 victory over the North Queensland Cowboys, setting up Elijah Taylor for the second try of the game, before completing a shift to take his side out to a 14-0 lead early in the match.

3 - Euan Aitken
Club: St George Illawarra Dragons; Origin appearances: 0; 2017 TOTW selections: 0.

12 total runs, 141 total metres, two line-breaks, seven tackle-breaks, two tries.
The Dragons' impressive run of form has continued and a good back line was on show for all to see in the win over the Sea Eagles. Aitken was dangerous on the right edge to earn his first Team of the Week selection of 2017, scoring a double before coming from the field in the 69th minute. An honourable mention also goes to fellow Dragons centre Tim Lafai, who had his best game of the season so far.
