Penrith Panthers v Warriors
Pepper Stadium, Saturday 13 May
12:40pm

Beaten last time out, the NZ Warriors will head into this clash with the Panthers with the unfamiliar task of looking to bounce back from a previous-round defeat.

Stringing together seven wins – interjected by a Round 7 draw – inside the opening eight weeks, the Warriors finally fell at the feet of the Wyong Roos, who hopped the Auckland-based team to head the competition leading into the representative round.

The Panthers meanwhile resume off a Round 9 win over the Blacktown Workers side, running in five-tries-to-three to consign Sea Eagles to the bottom of the table.

Garth Brennan’s men will be out to overturn a horrendous start to the year when playing at home, with the Penrith side having won just one of five clashes when playing host in 2017.

Newcastle Knights v Mounties
Cessnock Sports Ground, Saturday 13 May
3pm

The Newcastle Knights return to Cessnock on the back of a surprise Round 9 defeat to the Wests Tigers.

Though said to be boosted by the late inclusion of True Blue Trent Hodkinson, the halfback’s presence wasn’t enough to stop a rampant Tigers outfit.

Hodkinson is again named to line up for, and to captain, the Intrust Super Premiership NSW Knights.

Mounties though had no such issues in their Round 9 clash with the Bulldogs, edging the Canterbury-Bankstown side by four points in a tight affair at ANZ Stadium.

Mounties will look to build upon the result over the Bulldogs after showing a mixed-bag of form in the past three weeks – recording a draw, a loss and a win in rounds seven-through-nine respectively.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs v Wests Tigers
Belmore Sportsground, Saturday 13 May
3pm

A resurgent Wests Tigers outfit buoyed by the form of star fullback Watson Heleta heads to Belmore on Saturday afternoon with the hopes of continuing their recent run of success when meeting the Bulldogs.

Wins in Round 8 and 9 has David Heath’s men full of confidence heading into the clash with the Bulldogs, who themselves are looking to atone for a last-start loss.

Poised on the cusp of the all-important top 8, the Bulldogs will be looking to find the form they showed in Round 8, where they disposed of the Newcastle Knights to the tune of 30 points to 18.

The clash at Belmore follows on from the Under-18s National Championship Final, between SG Ball Cup premiers the Parramatta Eels. Catch all the action of that clash LIVE on NSWRL.com.au.

Wyong Roos v Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles
Morry Breen Oval, Saturday 13 May
3:30pm

The Premiership-leading Wyong Roos gear up for a clash with the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles in the final of four fixtures on Saturday afternoon.

Downing the Warriors last time out in a match worthy of a ‘first plays second’ fixture, the Roos asserted themselves as a genuine title contender, though will head into this encounter minus NRL-regulars Latrell Mitchell and Connor Watson.

Rooted at the foot of the Intrust Super Premiership NSW ladder, the Blacktown Workers side again looks up against a hard task in this match with the competition front-runners.

In team news, Cameron Cullen looks set to wear the ‘7’ shirt in place of his regular five-eighth role for Blacktown.

Wentworthville Magpies v Illawarra
Ringrose Park, Sunday 14 May
3pm

An ever-improving Wentworthville Magpies side plays hosts to the reigning premiers Illawarra in the first of two fixtures on Sunday, taking plenty of confidence out of three consecutive wins in rounds seven-through-nine.

Wins over the Bulldogs, Panthers and Newtown Jets has the Magpies’ side brimming with confidence, and they will be looking to make it four-on-the-trot with a win over Illawarra.

The premiers travel to Ringrose Park looking to better the efforts of their Round 9 as they feel at hands of the North Sydney Bears.

In team news, Illawarra-regular Jai Field may miss the clash with the Magpies, named in jersey ‘17’  of a 19-man squad for the St George Illawarra Dragons side to take on local NRL rivals the Cronulla Sharks on Friday night (two to be omitted).

North Sydney Bears v Newtown Jets
North Sydney Oval, Sunday 14 May
3pm

Rounding out the last of the weekend’s action, the North Sydney Bears play host to the Newtown Jets on an historical afternoon at the North Sydney Oval.

The Bears versus Jets fixture follows the inaugural Women’s Country-City Origin clash.

On what is sure to be an afternoon to remember, the Jets will be out to put behind them efforts they would rather forget – having fallen 20-12 at the hands of the Wentworthville Magpies in Round 9.

The Bears meanwhile take confidence and optimism out of their 13-point success over Illawarra in their last start, and will be looking to create a further gap between themselves and the current fifth-placed Panthers with another win here.
