Competition - NRL. Round - Round 11. Teams - Newcastle Knights v Penrith Panthers. Date - 21st of May 2017. Venue - McDonald Jones Stadium

Each week of the NRL season, the NSWRL.com.au staff writers will have their say on the round's best performing New South Welshmen. These are based entirely on the opinions of the writers and do not necessarily reflect the views of the NSWRL or the State of Origin selection process.

1 – Matt Moylan
Club: Penrith Panthers; Origin appearances: 3; 2017 TOTW selections: 3.

One line-break, one offload, five tackle-breaks, two tries.
Moylan makes the Team of the Week with, somewhat surprisingly, a career-first double against the Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium. While the Panthers started poorly against their less-fancied opposition, they finally got on the scoreboard thanks to their captain, with Trent Merrin popping up an offload to the fullback in the 49th minutes. It sparked a second consecutive comeback for the Penrith side and Moylan sealed a good win with his second of the afternoon chasing through his own perfectly-weighted grubber and taking advantage of a Dane Gagai fumble.
