The Manly Sea Eagles VB NSW Cup side may have finished 12th on the ladder in the 2014 season, but with James Hasson, Cheyse Blair, Jack Littlejohn, Tyson Andrews, Clinton Gutherson, Jayden Hodges, Michael Chee-Kam and Tony Satini all called up to play first grade at various stages throughout the year, coach Luke Williamson was often denied the use of some of his most influential players.
"There is a definite focus from the club going forward to produce and develop local talent from within,” said Williamson.
“This ideal will hopefully play a large role in securing the future success of the Sea Eagles at all levels of competition.”
The Sea Eagles will be bosted in 2015 by the presence of journeyman forward Siosaia Vave should be not be selected to play first grade. The nuggetty forward has played NRL football for both the Melbourne Storm and Cronulla Sharks.
