Club Safety Plan

All rugby league clubs need to submit a COVID Safe Plan and the NSWRL is encouraging all clubs to use the NSW Government Plan in this link.

Some rugby league specific strategies that clubs might want to include in their plans include:

  • Extra scheduling time between training sessions and games to limit crowd numbers at venues
  • Limited use of changerooms on game days
  • Sanitising balls at half time and between games
  • Using the NSW Government QR Code for training and game day registers
  • Having hand sanitising stations at entrances to facilities
  • Regular scheduled ground announcement to remind people of social distancing responsibilities
  • Designated meeting points around the venue for teams, to encourage social distancing
  • Regular social distancing reminders via clubs social media platforms
  • Cashless technology for canteen and online payment options for registrations and gear
  • Promotion of the Get in, Train, Get out concept

A copy of your COVID Safe Plan should be submitted to your NSW Rugby League representative (Club Support Officer, League Support or Zone/Region Manager)
