If you know rugby league you know the Newtown Jets. The proud old club competes in the VB NSW Cup, and represents its wider community stretching from Erskineville to Hurlstone Park, Camperdown to Earlwood. Their home ground at Henson Park is steeped in history.
Every home game hundreds of local rugby league lovers come along to cheer the mighty Jets on, and now the time has come for someone to lead those cheers and rally the army of kids on the hill, to inspire the fans and encourage the team on when all looks lost.
That someone is JET MAN – our only problem is, he or she doesn’t know it yet!
We are looking for our JET MAN – we can’t promise you untold wealth, fame and fortune, but we can promise that you will be loved, revered and become part of the culture that is a rugby league game at Henson Park.
You will need to have a strong personality and be able to give up 10-12 Saturdays over the course of the season.
