In a game of contrasting halves, the New Zealand Warriors were at their brillinat best in the first forty minutes running out to a 30-6 half-time lead after a masterclass form Carlos Tuimavave, Tuimoala Lolohea and Feleti Mateo carved the Cutters to shreds.
Showing great determination, Illawarra fought their way back into the game with a flurry of tries and looked to be coming home with a wet sail before Chad Townsend put the final nail in the Cutters coffin with a field goal 40 seconds from full-time.
