The New South Wales Rugby League’s 2014 Annual Report has been released to the public.
The 2014 calendar year was a big one for organisation, with the board reporting a surplus of more than $500,000.
The standout success for the NSWRL in 2014 was, of course, the NSW VB Blues' historic triumph in the State of Origin series but chairman Dr George Peponis said it was one of many great achievements for the organisation last year.
"The NSWRL board is proud to present an annual report for 2014 which clearly shows the continuing growth of the game in the birthplace of rugby league in Australia," Dr Peponis said.
"Coach Laurie Daley and the NSW VB Blues did the State proud at the highest levels of the game but the work in development and with our pathways programs gives us a great platform for the future.
"Our staff and the many volunteers throughout the State who continue to give so generously of their time should be very proud of the work they do to make rugby league such a wonderful sport for participants, officials and fans alike."
