New South Wales Rugby League has officially launched its partnership with The Starlight Children’s Foundation for 2015.
The Starlight Foundation is the major charity partner for NSWRL and this year Wish League will once again take place in August, with the aim of raising enough funds to grant five wishes for seriously ill children.
The aim of Wish League originally was to grant two wishes, however due to the support of NSWRL and some incredible community support from VB NSW Cup clubs, Wish League raised enough funds to go towards five amazing Starlight Wishes.
A Starlight Wish delivers a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity for a seriously ill child to have their dream come true, so over the last year there are five great families in NSW going through a really tough time, that have felt the amazing impact of a Starlight Wish on their lives entirely due to the support of Wish League.
In 2015, Wish League is bigger and better – seeking the support not only of the Senior NSWRL teams, but also of 160 Junior Teams – and the impact can be even greater.
NSWRL Wish League will take place over two weekends: August 8 – 9 and August 15 – 16.
