North Sydney Bears 34 (L Schaumkel 3, C Walker, K Auva'a, D Nicholls tries; Nicholls 5 goals) drew with Mounties 34 (G Aiga 2, C Ellis, B Tupou, S Mills, J Hawkins tries; M Cornish 5 goals) 
For the second time this season, the North Sydney Bears and Mounties extraordinarily fought out another stalemate in a 34-all scoreline. Bears five-eight Cody Walker was best on ground, followed by Mounties halfback Mitch Cornish. This game saw a successful return of Kirisome Auva’a, scoring a try to his name and a hand in two more.

Illawarra Cutters 30 (B Wallace 2, E Roberts, J Vaiai, K Brennan, C Lewis tries; S Crook 2, Wallace goals) bt Wentworthville Magpies 22 (H Lavaka 2, V Toutai, R Matterson tries; B Henry 3 goals) 
The Cutters survived a spirited Magpies fightback who trailed 20-0 after 24 minutes. The Magpies trailed 24-22 with eight minutes remaining but the Cutters held on to return into the top four. With Beau Henry in the sin-bin, the Cutters took full advantage of the extra-man overlap to score three tries and earn a commanding lead to claim the win.  

Newcastle Knights 48 (N Ross 3, H Tuha 2, K Holland 2, C Tuimavave, L Fitzgibbon, J King tries; Holland 4 goals) bt Manly Sea Eagles 14 (B Fritz, D Berryman, S Vave tries; K Aldridge goal)
SUMMARY: Newcastle prove too strong for Manly with a convincing display winning 48-14 at Newcastle Sports Ground. Two tries from their opening two sets, a hat-trick to Nathan Ross and cameo by Jeremy Smith combined for a dominant performance from Newcastle.
