The Manly Sea Eagles prevailed in a nail-biting 12-4 victory over the competition favourites the Newtown Jets in the NSWPDRLA Grand Final at Cabramatta.

Manly entered as underdogs but captain Dylan Jobson inspired his team to the unlikely victory.

Both sides were determined to gain the upper ascendency as Manly held onto a narrow 6-4 lead midway through the second half.

But in a man-of-the-match performance, Jobson stirred his side on to seal the match 12-4.

In the earlier curtain raiser before the Grand Final, the South Sydney Rabbitohs defeated arch-nemesis, the Sydney Roosters to claim third place in the competition.

Many thanks to everyone involved in the running of the competition and also to Cabramatta Leagues Club for the provision of such a quality venue for the Grand Finals.
