Unlike most jobs, Rugby League has a very small career window, and many players struggle adjusting to life after retirement.
The NSW VB Blues are among the best of the best, and the players are setting a perfect example by obtaining various qualifications while they participate in the greatest game of all.
Twenty-one of the twenty-three NSW Origin players used in the 2016 Series had completed or are completing tertiary education courses in preparation for life after football.
Thirty-four courses in total have been undertaken by the 2016 NSW Origin squad. These courses ranged from Certificate II to Bachelor Degree’s. These include:
