Day by day, we take an in-depth look at every member of the 2016 Intrust Super Premiership NSW Team Of The Year. Today it's the last, but certainly not least, of Illawarra's four inclusions: Jacob Host.

At just 19 years of age, Host is yet another Illawarra forward who was not afraid to do the hard yards this year – a philosophy that delivered the Cutters premiership success for the first time.

Playing in either the front or second row, Host delivered 13 strong performances for Illawarra, including strong performances in both the Grand Final and NRL Intrust Super State Championship, in which he scored a deserved try. His form earned him an NRL debut in Round 9 before seven more games in the back end of the season. At such a young age, Host is a definite highlight to come from the Dragons’ and Cutters’ system this season.
