It will be another year of surprises, drama and exciting new talent in the 2017 Intrust Super Premiership NSW.

The competition stepped up in quality in 2016, with all but two teams still in contention for finals spots heading into the final week of the regular season. One of the most exciting finals series on record ensued, with a golden-point thriller seeing Wyong overcome Canterbury-Bankstown, come-from-behind preliminary finals wins to the Cutters and Mounties and an emotional one-point nail-biter in the decider – the final game at Pirtek Stadium. In season 2017, fans can expect the unexpected yet again.

With the full season draw released today, the action will once again be spread over 25 home and away rounds, with one game to be televised on Fox Sports’ new dedicated Rugby League channel each weekend.

Defending premiers Illawarra will kick off the season, as they host the Penrith Panthers at UOW Jubilee Oval on Saturday, 4 March. Round 1 will also see the historic introduction of the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles, with HE Laybutt Fields to see the new partnership face off with the Newtown Jets as part of a big triple-header. Meanwhile, 2016 runners-up Mounties will have to wait until Round 8 to exact revenge on the Cutters, when they meet at WIN Stadium on Saturday, 22 April.

In addition to the mouth-watering contests, the 2017 Intrust Super Premiership NSW will see three dedicated rounds to be held alongside the NRL: ANZAC Round in Round 9, Indigenous Round in Round 10 and Women in League Round in Round 20. Finally, a representative weekend on 6-7 May will allow for the annual residents clash between the best of the Intrust Super Premiership NSW and Queensland’s Intrust Super Cup, in conjunction with the NRL’s own representative weekend.

The 2017 season is set to be another interesting one, with several teams fielding new-look teams as they chase premiership success. While the full draw is subject to change, stay up to date with all changes at the NSWRL Match Centre throughout 2017.
