Gathering ahead of what promises to be another exciting – yet testing week – in Origin camp, VB Blues coach Laurie Daley is confident that his men are ready to take their slice of history in Wednesday week’s Game Two, at ANZ Stadium.

Speaking at The Star on Tuesday, Daley urged that the would-be series-clincher is a chance like few others to regain the prized Origin shield, in front of the parochial NSW fans.

“We know it’s going to be a tough game, but we’re also confident that if we bring our best, we’ll compete very hard,” Daley said.

“I’d be disappointed if we were complacent, we’ve nothing to be complacent about. The boys understand that.

“If you want to win, you’ve got to beat the best. That’s why it’s a massive challenge for us to see where we’re at.”

See as Daley also spoke on the make-up of his side’s preparations, with a host of stars on ‘light duties’ heading into Origin II.
