The NSW Rugby League would like to congratulate and thank Jo Farr, who in 2017 celebrates her 40th year as an employee of one of Australia's oldest sporting organisations.
Family and friends gathered at Canterbury Leagues club last night to surprise Jo with function to celebrate her four decades working at NSWRL, and to say she was shocked was an understatement.
Among the crowd were current NSWRL CEO David Trodden, NSWRL Chairman Dr George Peponis, various NSWRL board of directors, as well as former CEO Geoff Carr to thank Jo for what she has brought to the office.
Dr George Peponis OAM presented Jo with a ring on behalf of the NSWRL as a token of appreciation, and said some kind words along with Trodden and Carr.
The night was full of fun, laughs and stories as everybody in attendance reflected on Jo's career thus far, and after giving so much in 40 years, it was a night she thoroughly deserved.
In Jo's time at NSWRL, there have been six CEOs - Kevin Humphreys, John Quayle, Neil Whittaker, Chris Turner, Geoff Carr and David Trodden - who all extended their thanks to 40 years of service.
There have also been seven NSWRL Chairmen - Tom Bellew, Ken Arthurson, Warren Lockwood, David Barnhill, Colin Love, John Chalk and Peponis - in Jo's time at the NSWRL.
