Ruan Sims could be in doubt for the women's Holden State of Origin on June 22 after being sent for scans on an injured arm suffered during NSW Country's 16-6 win over Queensland City at the National Championships.

The Blues skipper left Owen Park in Southport with her arm heavily braced after icing the injury throughout the second half in her team's win.

Sims has been a heavy target for the opposition over the last two days, sporting a nasty head gash above the eye from the game against the Australian Defence Force side on Friday, before another big collision on Saturday caused blood to come from her nose.

The possible loss of Sims would be a huge blow for the NSW outfit who have already lost halfback Caitlin Moran to a season-ending knee injury, as they look to secure three titles in a row.

Anything from a fractured arm to broken wrist could see the veteran ruled out for more than a month with scans are expected to show results by Sunday.

Country teammate Kezie Apps admitted injuries were on the mind of players in the lead up to Origin after a gruelling three-day tournament where teams have featured each day with short breaks between games.

Country played late on Friday evening before backing up with a game on Saturday afternoon.

"Hopefully we don't get any injuries tomorrow from both camps and we're ready to go for the game in three weeks time," Apps said.

"We're travelling good, it wasn't a long break between games but we'll rest up tonight and be ready for City tomorrow."

The National Championships final will be an all-NSW affair after both sides finished on top of their pools after two games.
