As the NSWRL continues to expand its Recreational Rugby League offering, League Tag is now set to promote greater grassroots participation.

Following the promotion of W8s, M8s and Friday Night 9s formats in the 2018 pre-season, League Tag has become a welcome addition as another growing form of Rugby League. The NSWRL League Tag Gala Day was held at the Centre of Excellence Field on Monday, 11 June, with under-15s girls and over-35s men's divisions highlighting the enjoyment of the format.

An over-35s competition has been held in Cronulla in 2018, along with under-15s girls competitions across the Parramatta, Canterbury and St George districts. League Tag will continue as a participation opportunity into the off season, with several clubs in the process of establishing competitions to engage with their local community.

Competitions will be available for male, female and mixed teams, from under-6s to open-age divisions, depending on the venue. For more information, contact communityrl@nswrl.com.au
