Almost 1400 students from 99 schools across New South Wales will contest 260 Rugby League games in two days this week (8-9 August) as part of the 74th annual NSW Rugby League All Schools Carnival in Sydney's west.

Schools and students from across the state – including Kyogle, Casino, Macksville, Murwillumbah, Scone, Wauchope, Goulburn, Dubbo, Nambucca Heads, the Hunter and Central Coast – will take to the fields at Whalan Reserve, Kingsway Fields, Hickeys Lane and St Marys Stadium.

Day One of the Carnival (Wednesday) will showcase the best Primary School talent from across NSW, while Day Two (Thursday) will involve Secondary and Elite Secondary divisions, with teams featuring members of the successful NSW Under-16 Origin side.

Competition will start from 9am each day with finals in the afternoon. Earlier games will be played at Whalan Reserve, Caitlin Close, Whalan; The Kingsway, Werrington; and Hickey's Lane Reserve, Penrith; while the finals will be at St Mary's Stadium, cnr Forrester and Boronia Rd, St Mary's.

Finals matches from each day's play will be live streamed at NSWRL.com.au  and via the official NSWRL Facebook page.

NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden said: "The New South Wales Rugby League All Schools Carnival is a significant event that has enabled the sport to create an important pathway for junior Rugby League players.

"This is a great opportunity for children across the state to come together and showcase the wonderful talent pool of future Blues.

"We are also really excited to be live streaming the finals across the both days to give everyone across the state the chance to witness the future of the game."
