True Blue Jamie Soward has celebrated his birthday in style after becoming a father for the first time.
A proud Soward posted pictures on Instagram of daughter Indiana Rose Florence, who was born on Friday (November 9) tipping the scales at 2.86 kilograms and measuring 48cm.
Indiana is Soward’s first child with wife Madi and his passion for NBA franchise Boston Celtics is reflected in her name. Soward’s favourite player was NBA legend Larry Bird, who played for the Celtics in the number 33 and hailed from Indiana.
“I love you both so much my heart is filled with so much love,” Soward posted on Instagram in a tribute to both his wife and daughter.
“Thanks everyone for well wishes.”
The doting father, who turned 33 on Tuesday (November 13), also posted pictures acknowledging it was the ‘best birthday ever’ as the happy family left hospital.
Soward played three games for the NSW Blues in the 2011 series and commentated on Intrust Super Premiership NSW games for Channel Nine this year.
