KNIGHTS FASHION: BEST AND WORST DRESSED
Enjoying his first pre-season as part of the first-grade squad., Fermor has set himself some lofty goals for 2019.
"I am really enjoying it," Fermor said of training fulltime.
"I'm learning heaps off the coaches and the more experienced players and I feel like I am getting bigger and stronger and I am ready to go for 2019.
"First of all, my focus obviously is to make the New South Wales Cup side, like there is already competition in the back row for that so my first goal is to make that side and play consistently for that but obviously if Browny sees fit and sees that there is a chance to give me an opportunity then I am going to try and take it with both hands."
ULTIMATE GUIDE TO SEASON 2019
Fermor has been making the most of his intensive training period with the senior squad, seeking the guidance of the more experienced players to help him towards realising his dream of playing for the Knights side.
"I have been doing a lot of work with Aidan Guerra and Lachie Fitz," he said.
"They obviously play a similar position to me so, I have been doing a lot of extra training with them and if I ever have a question, they are the two that I go to first before I go to the coaching staff."
Although his ultimate goal is to make top team, Fermor's focus is on hitting the ground running with the Knights ISP NSW team.
"To finish off a pretty good pre-season for myself and get a starting spot in the Cup side and stay in there consistently and play good consistent footy and then hopefully if an opportunity presents itself towards the end of the year or whenever Browny sees fit, to get a first-grade debut," he said.
"If that opportunity came up to play there then I would be very privileged and give it a red-hot crack."
