The Canterbury Cup NSW competition is rapidly approaching and True Blue and Channel Nine commentator Jamie Soward have cast his eye over all 12 teams for nswrl.com.au to find the winner for 2019.

True Blue Jamie Soward has predicted the Warriors to replicate their 2018 season with a sixth-place finish under new coach Nathan Cayless in the Canterbury Cup NSW this year.

Soward has hailed centre Patrick Herbert as the “buy of the year” off the back of his amazing 2018 season which saw him score 12 tries in 22 appearances.

“He made the team of the year last year, (he) knows how to score a try and could potentially push for a place in the NRL if there are injuries in the top squad.”

Cayless’ transition to the club from the Wentworthville Magpies was described as a “positive inclusion” in developing the young players amongst the squad.
